A week or so previously, all was well. But now, each time I try to play a DVD, I get this message: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program, or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." I've no idea what all that means, and I would appreciate guidance as to what I should do to resolve the issue. Thanks.

It means windows doesn't know what program to use to play the DVD vob file

If you have something like VLC player on your machine use that to Open the DVD (Media - open disk or Ctrl + D)

You can then get windows to associate the DVD with VLC and it will open every time.

Thank you Fruit Bat. I'll have a go at the VLC, and hopefully it will do the trick! I appreciate your assistance.
