backup hard drive

may sound like a silly question, but what is the simple easy way to backup my hard drive, running xp home, probable seen the solution several times, but can't remember? please reply in easy to follow steps, help greatly appreciated.

Drive Image from such as, PCWorld, and Create an Image file while the computer is running OK

With the latest Drive Image you can run from Windows but I think you can create floppy's and it will work as if in DOS if you boot with them. it will also write strait to your cdrw drive but you should make sure it splits the image to fit on the CD's in Advanced settings in program. If you go for the software check the BOX side to make sure it works with XP if it does not, it is an old version
