I would like to back up my emails to a disk but do not know how to do this, my normal back up does not include emails.

You could create a folder on the desktop and export your emails, using your email client, to the folder then copy it to disc.
What email program are you using? Outlook Express, Windows Mail?
I think it is Outlook Express 8 server is bt internet.
