AVG Upgrade Help PC Crashes

  14all 21:56 16 Nov 2004

Since I upgraded to AVG 7 I've had nothing but problems.
If I do a complete system scan it crashes my PC and I get this Erroe Code:

An Exception OE has occurred at 0028 : C004E951 in VxD VCACHE (01) 000014E1. This was called from 0028 : C010A8DC in VxD VKD (01) + 00000640

I've had AVG 6 sitting on my PC with no trouble what so ever, but the AVG forum is full of pepole asking whats going wrong.

The only problem is one of the posters thinks he's a moderator and just gives anyone asking for help a load of grief and no help.

Anyone here know what might be causing the problem?

Cheers all41

I believe avg7 is still in beta form. Can you not uninstall it and go back to 6 for a few weeks until the new version is ready?

Hi howard60

AVG 7 is now the updated virus programe, AVG 6 will only run to Dec 31 to give users time to upgrade, so I am stuck with it.

Although I could use another free virus programe.
