AVG Unable To Fix Viruses

I understand that it has become increasingly common for AV systems to find, but to be unable to heal or quarantine, a range of parasites. That's the case with my AVG.

Mine has found 9 Trojan horses, described as viruses. All are named Downloader.

Small 27.V Infected, Embedded object
Istbar.4AL ditto
Dyfica 3.R ditto
Istbar.7X ditto
Small27.V ditto
Istbar.7.AF ditto
Dyfica 3.R ditto
Istbar.6.BP ditto
Istbar.7.AF Infected, Archive

None were healed or quarantined. Short of finding out (perhaps) how to delete the bugs manually, does anybody have any ideas or comments? Thanks.

Try running the 30 day trial of TDS-3 click here

Thanks - I've d/l'ed TDS-3 and run a full scan. It's difficult to follow but it seems to have found a lot of bugs. All but one allowed me to delete them manually.

To get rid of trojans try click here update first before running and I would suggest you have a look at what protection you have.

click here are must haves if not already installed. Also what firewall are you using? Zone Alarm or Sygate do the job very well. Apologies if you already have these programmes but you obviously have some security issues somewhere.

Thanks - I use ZA Firewall which I wouldn't do without. Ditto AdAware, Spybot, M'soft Beta AS, Spyware Guard, Spyware Blaster, a squared, etc.

Despite all of these (just updated and run) AVG STILL found those 9 Trojans.

I'll run it again and see if the new TDS-3 has got rid of any of the 9.

Find the address of where these nasties are hiding, avg should give you this, if they are found in a java enviroment, I have safely deleted the relevant java file.

Also turn off system restore before running any anti-virus scans.

........ just re-ran the AVG scan and the 9 bugs are still there .....
