I would happily join the advocates of AVG if only it would work on my computer. I have twice tried it now running windows ME, all if gives me is problems and a regular inconsistent BSOD. Obviously something is conflicting and causing the problem. At least Norton runs without any problems
Are you talking about NAV 2003? I use NAV 2003 and, with automatic updates turned off, it typically uses between 2mb and 4mb of ram. Peak memory usage after boot up is around 18mb. CPU usage is next to nothing.
I have it running on three ME machines without any problems at all.
It also runs on XP, W2K, '98 and believe or not '95, all without a hitch and consistently finds problems that one of my friends Norton installed machine misses. In fact last week he finally got so fed up, after being a loyal Norton man for five years or more, Norton was dismissed to the appropriate place.
