AVG file size

  Mananin 20:25 17 Jan 2007

When downloading an update to Avg a File Size is displayed eg 486.7kB (391.1kB)
What is the significance of the figures in brackets?

it may be something to do with windowsXP, sometimes when you check the size of a file it says for example, 250kb (size on disk 300kb), i dont know why this happens, but maybe AVG has put the size on the disk first as a way of confirming the file is the correct size, having 2 different sizes for the same file i find totally alien.

may or may not be right but it would explain it i suppose.

Thanks for your comment. As I'm on Win98 I do not know the vagaries of XP!
