When I update , most times it automatically installs the update, however sometimes it does not and says if the program does not start automatically plaese run it yourself as soon as possible.
How do you run it so the updates you have downloaded are put in to AVG and update it.

What i do is simply close AVG and then open it again, you'll then see it updating.

I find that after I have downloaded the updates (using the update manager), I have to close down AVG and then open it again. When I do this the program finds the update and instals it. (This is using XP home - it may be different for other O.S.).
