Had it for ages, does it's job quietly, efficiently and unobtrusively. No problems, auto updates, fantastic. Minor issue with ZoneAlarm. Deserves an award in my view.

Avast is an excellent program IMO. Especially as they provide a top quality AV program for free.

Visited the site as per the link, I notice that the McAfee product that it is in contest with is version 8.0i, I have McAfee AV and it is version 10.0.27, I have never had a problem with McAfee and all versions I have had, since V 4.0, have "caught" any virus trying to infect my PC.

I am not knocking Avast but to compare it with an "old" version of McAfee hardly seems to be fair.
