AVG click here is as good as any of the free ones.

Avast4 click here

AVG antivirus click here

Considerd by most on this forum to be the best Free AV

Have used both, AVG until recently, had problems with the E-mail scanner and my ISP so now use AVast.

Avast checkes for update swhen ever your connected and automatically installs them and if you set the screen saver it will scan whenever you are away from the PC so it is a fit and forget system.

Avast & AVG are both ok - free for PERSONAL USE ONLY.

Better is NOD32 click here - not free - it's faster, lower system overhead, and better long-term detection records. Small fast updates, as frequently as you want (default for BB every hour). Also now certified against Adware and Spyware.
