Automatic updates

  isititis 00:05 18 Apr 2009

I have the yellow looking shield at the bottom right hand corner on my desktop indicating that there are 8 updates ready to download/install. Having gone through the installation process, there are 2 updates that have failed to install. I am concerned as the failed updates relate to security. My m/c is a HP Pavilion Win XP Home SP3 IE7. Thanks for any help to correct this problem.

The icon should eventually reappear to allow you to download the updates.

However, if you feel they should be installed as soon as possible, go to:

and install them manually.

Thanks for the link. I tried something else first. I have a little prog. called Rapport. It's an added security thing which I disarmed, clicked the M/soft shield and bingo! the updates installed.
