I have a problem whereby the file autoexec.nt from C:\windows\system32 is missing.

I have a laptop and have copied that version into C:\windows\system32 on my pc but when I power down and then restart the PC later on the autoexec.nt file is missing from C:\windows\system32.

Firstly should autoexec.nt be resident in C:\windows\system32 ?

Secondly any reason why it keeps getting deleted ?

If you're running Win xp or Win 2000 then click here , download and run XP_FIX.EXE.
