Audio tape to cdr

Can anybody help me on this subject,I have old audio cassetes that I would like to transfer to cdr.is this easy to do and what does this involve. I would like to be able to play the end results in a normal cd hi fi and stand alone dvdplayer

take ur line out from your Hi-Fi or whatever and plug it into either the line in or probably Mic socket on your PC. Then just record. a good recorder is musicmatch click here which will encode the tracks into MP3 which it can then burn onto a CD for u in the standard format to be played anywhere
