Audible Mouse click

  Rayspan 08:22 01 Nov 2008

Having just completed a 'clean' reinstall of XP Home, I find my mouse clicks are silent. I used to get a satisfying 'click' sound from my speakers. Can anyone tell me how to get it back please?

I hope something here helps - click here

Thanks TechnoTiger, but as far as I could see, that only makes a 'click' sound when you click on a key of the on-screen keyboard. Couldn't find any reference to mouse activity other than that.

control pannel/sound/sounds scroll down to complete navigation and select, none.

Thanks sinbads, but it isn't universal. Only works in that app.
I want the 'click' sound every time I click & whatever I'm clicking on. On reflection, sounds (no pun intended) more like a mouse driver function. I'll investigate in that direction next.

My last link is what you are looking for I believe.

TechnoTiger - bingo! Many Thanks. Not keytick though - that's for 95,98,NT & 2000. Frustrating.
But 'nmouse' does do the click trick! HA ha 'click'!
'click' Thanks again. 'click' HAHAHA 'clickclickclick'
(Manic laughter!!!)
