Have you rebooted after installing the new driver?

filehippo site might be out of date

Had the same problem last month when 9.12 were the latest drivers. I gave it up as a bad job, but when I discovered the latest version I thought I'd give it another try. Still no joy.

8.6 would relate to June 2008, Go to the ATI Install manager in Add/Remove programs and uninstall all ATI software then reboot and clean install 10.1

Also make sure you have the full package, I always download direct from the ATI site. click here

A lot of these "latest drivers" are by some other source rather than the actual hardware makers so beware of what you are installing.

Thanks everyone.
Zeppelyn used your link. Downloaded 9.11 legacy drivers as this appeared to be the latest. 10.1 did not appear.
Have ran filehippo again. It now says driver version unknown. Device mgr now shows: Driver provider ATI technologies. Driver Date 29/09/2009, Driver version 8.593.100.0
Do you think I've done it?
