NEW COMPUTER WITH ATA/133 HARDDRIVE - SO I THOUGHT I WOULD SCREW IN MY OLD ATA/IDE AS A SLAVE HARDDRIVE AND AT THE SAME TIME TRANSFER ACCROSS MY FILES - WHEN I WENT TO PLUG IT IN I FOUND THAT THE CONECTION IS DIFFERENT - IT WOULDNT PLUG INTO THE CABLE -
IS THERE ANY WHY ROUND THIS - OR DO I JUST HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER ATA/133

Do you mean the IDE cable or the power cable is different? It should be the same, can you let us know the make/model of your old drive?

Tunred the cable around?

Whilst they are usually identical, some cables have a pin hole blanked off to ensure the cable is the correct way round. If this is the problem, a new cable with no blanked off holes will fix it.

There should be no other incompatabilities, so if there are you had better describe them in detail.

Someone will tell you this sooner or later, so I may as well be the one. Whilst here no-one minds too much, typing in all capitals is generally regard as shouting - and considered "bad form".
