ata to sata

Hi Guys

I want to download all the recorded programmes from my Topfield digital recorder to my computer. Unfortunately if I do this via USB-2 connection, it is going to take many many hours. So it has been suggestd that I connect the Topfield hard drive to the computer. However the Topfield only has an old ATA hard drive (it has a long double row of pins)but my computer only has connection provisions for SATA hard drives.

Is there anything (a conector convertor) out there to allow for me to convert from ATA to SATA

I hope the above makes sense and look forward to any help you can give.
