I have an Asus zenpad with Windows 8 os. It is frozen on a blank blue screen. The cursor is there and can be moved around but that is all. Cannot get rid of the blue screen. Any advice appreciated.
Have you tried going into Task Manager to see if it is Windows Explorer that is causing the problem?
The steps in this article explain how to do it:-
You can't get into anything, there is just a blank blue screen and nothing else.
I assume that you tried to get into Device Manager by control, alt, delete?
Does our machine have a recovery partition or do you have a recovery disk? Do you have a Windows 8 disk? If so you could try method 4 shown in the attached article.
I've tried alt, ctrl, delete to no avail. It's actually a pad which slots into a conventional keyboard and does not have a disk driver although it does have a USB port. I'm grateful for your help on this, it's baffled me.
That article helped difarn, sorted. Many thanks for your help.
Glad it's sorted.
