ASUS M2N4-SLI Socket AM2 (940)

I have just tried to restart my computer with an ASUS M2N4-SLI Motherboard, it has been shut down and stored since January 20th this year. When I press the power button the machine doesn't start but sits there beeping at me something like this longish beep pause two shorter beeps. Am I correct in assuming that the BIOS battery could be flat? Thank you for anyone who can help.

This may help. It seems to point to faulty RAM. I think I'm right in saying that a flat CMOS battery shouldn't stop the system booting altogether.

thanks Ian, cleaned the RAM no change
