ive tried uninstalling the drivers on the device manager. but it still wont charge and it turns off as soon as its unplugged. any help?
Sounds like a duff battery or DC power socket internal switch.
If the charging indicator is lit up on the laptop when plugged in then most likely the battery has gone bad.
If the charging light isn't illuminated then there may be an issue with the power adapter or the laptop's socket.
the laptop is newish, why would the bat randomly go bad? you think its hardware rather than software related? trying to asus atm...still on hold
Does it work without the battery in? If not then the problem is the power jack in the laptop. My local repair charges about £75 to replace it.
If it does work without the battery then the battery is most likely the problem.
