ASUS laptop spontaneously shuts down

I have an Asus laptop that tends to shut down at random periods of time. It doesn't overheat (temps are never over 70-75 degrees Celsius) and there is no software issue as I've formatted the laptop twice since it started happening. What I find strange is that it doesn't shut down instantly, but instead it acts as if I have ordered it to shut down (first the display goes off, and then the laptop shuts down). Any ideas as to what may be the problem?

Have a look in the event viewer after it happens and see if there is any information about why the laptop has shut down. If there is post it here and we can see about solving the issue.
