ASUS Laptop DVDdrive problem

Hi All!

I have an ASUS F5SL Laptop with a Mat*[email protected]:a DVD-RAM UJ-8605 drive.
Here is my problem:
Let's say there are three kind of game discs(all original)

case 1. When i put in the drive it reads nicely without problems

case 2. When i put it in reads as well nicely, BUT when i stop to work with the disc and the DVDdrive goes to stand-by and i try to access the contents of the disc again it wont read it anymore(DVDdrive makes some noises probably tries to read the disc but it cant). The only solution for this is to open the DVDdrive and close it again which is annoying to do.:p

case 3.When i put it in it immediatly starts the beforementioned noises and after few seconds the DVDdrive goes to stand-by and OS shows that the DVDdrive is empty.

This is only with my original discs, DVDmovies and games. The movies are of case 1 and case 3.
The games are all three cases.
How to fix this?
Please help!

Try removing Upper and lower filters
click here should remove the filters for you

Run regedit and navigate to registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
Highlight it and in the right pane, find the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values.
Highlight each one in turn, right click and delete them.
Close regedit and restart the computer.
If in doubt make a restore point before making changes.
