ASUS C.O.P - enable/disable?

Hi, a quick question. I've got an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe running an AMD 2800XP. The board features ASUS' CPU Overheating protection (C.O.P.).

Can this be turned off/on or is it constantly on?

I've looked through the manual/BIOS/FAQ's but can't find if it can be turned off. I don't want to turn it off, just check it's enabled as I've had the CPU temperature jumping from the normal 53C to 61C today and the mobo from 32C to 40C.

the c.o.p on my Asus motherboard is always enabled so I would not worry, 61 C is still fine in this weather don't worry about it, if it gets in to the 70s then I suggest doing something.

Thanks, just wanted to check.

I've got plenty of cooling, idle it usually sits at 35C, I think today it was the heat combined with the still air in the room so it was recirculating warm air.
