ASP Help Please

Since I have started college I have been making more and more (rubbish) websites. I have dipped my toes in ASP.

I wondered if I could run ASP on my PC instead of uploading it to a server to find out it doesn't work. I have set away looking for a way and I got answers.

I have XP home and all of the info I have found either says that it doesn't support IIS & PWS or you need a windows 2k disc to do it. Is this info right. I have an XP pro disc but every where says that is useless. Can anyone HELP?

Thanks

P.S. I wont upgrade to XP pro because I can't get updates then (if you know what I mean).

Secondly, who told you WinXP Pro is useless? Whoever it was is talking rubbish.

Why couldn't you get updates?
