AOL Silver and Wireless Networking, Why not?

AOL Silver does not offer wireless networking. Can anyone explain why this is as all other BB providers allow this.

What is so (un)special about Silver in regards to this?

AOL don't wish you to do it and stop all but the most determined by using proprietary software to connect. This reduces the amount of bandwidth used by the customer.

At the end of the day, ADSL is just a stream of data whoever the ISP is.

AOL want to control everything; what can and can't do and their software is designed that way. They also want to maximise on profit's, as any company does but AOL does it to the detriment of their customers once they have them firmly trapped within their system! They do not like anyone using products that they have no part in to access their system.
