AOL set -up

I have to do a Drive Format on a machine that is signed up to AOL for 7/24 Internet and my question is - once formatted can IE and OE be configured to use AOL without all the gubbins that comes with AOL?

I imagine that if I have the POP and SMTP configurations I can set up the email in OE...

any help will be appreciated before I start.

Sorry, IE and Express cannot be use for e-mail, though you will be able to minimise AOL to the taskbar, then use IE as your browser. Personally I have never found IE to offer anything that the AOL browser doesn't.

With AOL standard set-up you cannot use a POP3 address, bit if you download the "Communicator" from AOL you can use POP3 and IMAP protocols. j.
