AOL Broadband + Router

I currently have BT Highway which gives me 3 lines. I also have my family using 1 PC, a NotePad and a MAC within my home. But Broadband keeps luring me. Having checked a little, AOL seem to be the best deal for Broadband(and I'm a member)...Is it a problem to acquire Broadband and get a separate (cheaper router) that would be compatible with AOL..(if there is one) or should I go with BT who charge an arm and a leg for their router...(or anyone else for that matter) anyone have any experiences or ideas?

I have been with AOL bb for nearly 12 months now have had problems with them because their browser is their own, but apart from that everything ok. Free Modem, easy to install and good content, however have recently looked into Wi-Fi and have come up with some problems to do with type and cost of Modems etc I am only mentioning this because logically it might be the next step you take and making people aware of the pitfalls is, as a member, my duty:)

Well after just finishing a phone call, they say they can supply a router (speedtouch)for 101 sobs, learn something new everyday! somewhat cheaper than BT's!!! either way, there doesnt seem to be away of finding one that can be bought separately or be compatible whether its AOL or BT BBand
