Anyone using Netscape?

I have a web site that includes a number of moving panoramas. The movement is controlled by a Java applet. From the many messages I receive people have no problems in viewing them.

However, a friend in the USA, (using Netscape), reports that sometimes her PC "freezes" when viewing. I don`t know the spec of her PC, except she has lots of memory. If you have Netscape, perhaps you could try, and report back with the result. This page would be suitable for a test.

Thanks for your assistance.

Page loaded in Netscape 7 without any problems and did it several times when prompted. However it doesn't actually do anything. Couldn't get it to zoom in/out or Autoscrol...but then I couldn't in IE either!

Could be something to do with what your friend is using for Java stuff - either the one built into Windows or SUN's version.

I'm not running Netscape but thought I would have a peep. On 1st visit pc locked up on loading, did the usual control/alt/delete. Tried again got to the start of the music this time and pc locked up solid. No amount of control/alt/delete would budge it.

Thanks for your replies.

I have found myself that the Sun version of Java did cause a problem, so only have Microsoft Virtual Machine, (MS version of Java), installed.

Based on many messages from around the world, it seems that generally there are no problems, (at least with IE as the browser). The picture should rotate from right to left, and you should be able to zoom in.

Thanks FE for the compliment.

Should I suggest to my friend that if she has Sun Java, she remove it, (if this is possible), and install Microsoft Virtual machine instead. Will this work with Netscape?.
