To any one that can answer:Is it posibble to upgrade my existing motherboard to a new one and not have to reinstall windows on my hard drive?
Some information on this website click here
It is possible but is not advisable. The new board will require different drivers installed and is best that an upgrade is followed by a complete fresh installation of Windows.(IMHO).Mike.
i would do that but i do not have the instalation disk
...if so, you can re-install from that once you have changed your mobo.
Will not work if OEM supplied with machine.try1. boot to safe mode 2. remove motherboard drivers3. change motherboard4. reboot to safe made and load new drivers5 reboot see if it works 6. You may to re activate windows as a motherboard renewal is classed as one of the 4 items needing reactivation by MSoft
