Running Spybot on a friends computer because he is having problems. For the last 10 minutes only got "running bot-check (514/5835) Only got two blue squares. All seems to have stopped. I did run Adaware before this and found 16 objects. All deleted. Any ideas please?

If this is Spybot 1.3 there have been some problems with it hanging. What OS is on your friends computer and could you uninstall Spybot and try the older version. System restore?

Sorry you can't get to it, OS CD and repair?

Thank you for your response rawprawn. The O/S is win98se. He has been having problems for some time now and has dropped his PC off to me as he has gone on holiday for two weeks. The version he has is 1.2. I may have been a bit premature because when I restarted his computer and ran Spybot again it came up with 12 problems. Most of which seem to be Cdilla. Can I fix all these?

click here I would say delete them all it seems to be fairly well known. Just type Cdilla into google you will find a lot of references. Spybot has a backup system in settings just make sure it's ticked, you don't need to have system restore ticked in settings that was one reason my computer was hanging with Spybot although I reinstalled and it seems OK now.
