My Athlon 64 3000+ processor has temp. 70c idle and max 90c using a coolermaster KK8-7I52A running at a speed of 3120 rpm and abit KV8-Max3 motherboard and the uguru ulity with the motherboard is the fan running to slow or is the uguru reading the temp wrong has anyone found trouble with the Athlon 64.

That's an awfully hot processor, 70 celsius is more like a temp reading for a loaded athlon 64 processor, 90 is way too much. If your not experiencing crashes I'd have to say your temp readouts are wrong, try motherboard monitor from click here

I also have an Athlon64 3000+ and what you're reading is way too high! Mine runs anywhere between 38c idle and 55c under load using stock cooling...

I think there is a problem with A64s and early motherboard BIOS revisions in that the A64s returned erroneous heat readings. Try checking for a BIOS update.
