Spybot version 1.3.1TX keeps finding Altnet on my pc but fails to remove it. Anyone no how to get rid.
I also use Adaware, but that never finds it.

Thanks Paul, but can`t find it listed here?

  plsndrs3 17:03 15 Feb 2005

It gives a step-by-step removal instruction. Although it is not specifically mentioned, if you read the section 'Unregister DLLs' it becomes clear .......

Sorry Paul, but I was hoping for something simpler, its a bit too complicated for me.

Have you tried the new Microsoft spyware finder/removal prog?

  SHUNNA 14:58 16 Feb 2005

Thanks Oldone, downloaded it and ran it, it found 5 threats, two of which were high level. The only one of the 5 found by SpyBot was Altnet.
Unfortunately although it said that it had been removed, it finds it again next scan.
Back to the drawing board!
