alternatives or additions to bootvis

i have benn using bootvis reasonobly, and although it has sometimes worked, many timed it has failed to do anything. is there any other program to help aid speeding up the startup. i currently have lavasoft adaware and spybot search and destroy. Thanks in advance!!!

thanks gfor the reply. I will stop using bootvis now. diodorus sicorus, the mike lin programme only chekcs what is running, but does not improve the startup. Please correct me if Im wrong. Thanks

It does not improve startup times, but it does certainly allow you to disable anything that you don't want to run at startup and thus you can decrease boot time yourself.
