Hello i am new to pcs i am clicking my kodak software icon at the bottom of my screen and in doing this it highlights the other icons which in turn a dialogue box appears stating that choosing to open 18 programms will slow down your computer, how can this be fixed??

Remove the Kodak software via Control Panel/Add Remove, and re-install?
That behaviour only occurs if you hold Shift while clicking icons, have you checked you can type normally?

i have bought a wireless keyboard logitech lx3000 i think it is playing up on me as the icons are ok now, the caps lock and shift might have a problem i couldn't type my password correctly 1/2 hr ago either.

Your suspicions may be correct, keep a Notepad window open when you're using the PC and type into it occasionally, if you only see `shifted` characters you have a problem.
