in alcohol 120 there is a part to do with virtual drives and i would like to know what they are and what they do

A virtual drive is a "section" set up on your hard drive that emulates a CD.

Thus you can have a virtual CD always available, without having to put the CD in the drive, and it's much faster too, particularly for access.

You might want a game CD always available, for instance - so you can put it nto a virtual CD on your hard drive.

I use .ISO files to play games rather than have the disc in the DVD rom

Dont know how do explain it but heres an example;

Want to play a game lets say SimCity4 now you need the disc to play it and it gets annoying changing the discs for all the games and all the noise from the cd rom. So you copy the CD-Rom onto a virtual drive (on you hard drive but the game thinks its the cd) and now you can play it without the CD
