Any ideas what this is. where can i get this from.

I reinstalled xp back in October maybe this is the problem.

I also cannot get my automatic updates to work . In my system properties there is no automatic updates tab.

Start, Run, type in

and click OK. Have your Windows CD to hand.

Will my Mesh recovery cd work?

When i attempted to use my XP cd, it says Insert your Windows XP home edition service pack 1 cd now.

Any ideas?

Just keep retrying (click retry or whatever, leave the CD in the drive) with your Windows CD. It will eventually work. Why it asks for SP1 I don't know - it is a bug.

Your Mesh disk won't work.

Its the Mesh recovery cd that i have, should i have another disk? What cd do i need?

SFC isn't going to work without a Windows CD (not recovery CD).

See if you have one in C:\Windows\Servicepackfiles\i386 and if so copy it to the C:\Windows\System32 folder

If not click here and download the 88848 bytes one. Put it into C:\Windows\System32

Thanks downloaded file.

If i copy then insert into C:\Windows\System32. Will this work.

I have the ADVPACK.dll icon on my desktop.
