Advice please for dealing with a W32.Netsky. Virus

  sattman 12:15 05 Mar 2004

I am being hit daily with email that contain the W32.Netsky virus.

Fortunately my AV protection (Norton) is stripping the infected pif files and placing them in quarentine.

My computor scan shows it is not infected

The rate and number of infected emails from total strangers is becoming a nightmare.

Looking at the email properties i can see that it is all seem to be coming through Tiscali and refers to

Is there anything that I should or can do trace and report the source?

Apart from ditching my email address?

There is nothing that you can do, the AV is stripping the attachments. Even if you do get infected there will be no real problems and it is very easy to clean.

click here+ and you will see that the IP address is in BT's narrowband pool. You could send an email to [email protected] and ask them to deal with the problem.
