Advice needed on selecting new motherboard

Can anyone give me some advice on selecting a new mobo priced below £100?
I've decided on an E8400 cpu S775 and can't fathom my way around the vast selection of boards out there.
I want to build a system that can happily cope with games such as cod4 etc. I will need new ram (4GB) to suit the new board (advice needed).
I have an nvidia 6600gt that I would like to upgrade very soon but will have to put up with for now.

Will my 6600gt work in this or is it for radeon cards ?

i like the ASUS range they look easy to set up and have many features. my present one is foxconn would not get another.

a graphics card will fit any m/b its only multiple graphics cards you need to check.

new boards will not have AGP sockets check your card does is not an old agp card.

Thanks for the reply Sunnystaines.

Am I correct in saying this then. Even if a m/b states that it is "crossfire ready" (which i assume is only for ATI cards) it will still work with an nvidia chipped card as long as there is only one?

Also, which of the vast asus range would you recommend?
