Advice needed on buying new laptop please

  tootsietights 19:03 27 Dec 2007

I am about to buy a new laptop for the first time. I already have a PC which has Windows XP. Should I try to buy a laptop with XP instead of Vista as I would like both computers to be compatible and have heard that I may have problems if one XP and the other has Vista?

If you want to run any other hardware, such as printers, etc, then check to see if vista drivers are available first. If they are not then perhaps win xp would be the choice. If its do to with networking then vista will connect to xp and visa-versa...

As a footnote, I run 3 PC's one (main) on vista and the other 2 on XP, the laptop is XP...

Thanks for your help. I am finding it difficult to find a supplier who sells laptops with Windows XP. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks

Can anyone help??? I have just bought a new laptop with Vista installed but I would prefer to have XP, I do have a genuine copy of XP but could I put it on to the new laptop? would the hardware still work?

Please help.
