I'm not familiar with (or keen on) wireless anything but, presumably, the wireless items need a 'signal receiver' to be connected to the PC.

Is the receiver connected via a USB port?

If so, is that port SEPARATE from the USB port used by the modem?

ADSL modems are power hungry and MUST have a USB port all to themselves.

Thanks for reply, but the wireless receiver and the adsl modem are connected to seperate usb ports, not through a usb hub.

OK. Worth a try!

Hopefully someone will be able to help.

There are 2 things he could try:

1. physically separate the modem cable from the wireless receiver as far as possible; if he has more USB ports, then use ports at different parts of the pc

2. change the channel used by the wireless keyboard and mouse, if this option is available.

Even if he has no more USB ports, moving the cable to the modem as far as possible from the receiver may help. Even try some aluminium foil between the two to provide some shielding.
