ADSL Microfilters - BB speed drop - Why?

I have been following this thread - click here - about the variation in quality of available filters.

Having bought and attached 2 for my home (ADSL Nation XF-1e) I am now experiencing a drop in speed throughput. I have done speed tests with Speedtest-BBMX; Speedtest.net; Wugnet; BT Speedtest. Info below relates to BBmax and BT:

BT Broadband - Max Line Connection: 1.5 Mbps

BBmax:
Before - DL 1465 UP 378
After - DL 1371 UP 378

BT:
Before - DL 1888 UP 448
After - DL 1696 UP 448

Having connected the new filters, do I need to allow the DSL connection, a few days to adjust?

Many thanks

Chillie

possibly - if you are the handy type and have a bt master with the horizontal split. Open the master and remove the wire[s] from terminal 3. Do the same with all slave boxes. You only need connections in terminals 2 and 5 when you have the filters. This could speed things up for you.

I had this problem on a BT line BB Server TalkTalk.

Try turning your router off with the switch or button on the back of the Router then back on. It sorted mine. Turning off at the Plug is not the same thing

Only if you are on a Max line
