Adobe Flash player and Active X

  ianeon 18:45 24 Jul 2008

Good morning - I run Vista Home Premium, IE7, Norton Internet security - Recently I had trouble with my Adobe Flash player it wasn't working correctly, so I followed the instructions from the Adobe website on how to un-install and re-install. But still neither the Active X or the Flash Player will install.
I downloaded Firefox and installed the Adobe Flash and it works perfectly on Firefox, but still won't work on IE7 !! - Can anyone help please - Thank you - Ian

Did you use the removal tool,

Use this again but use it in safe mode,

You can also install the latest version in safe mode,

Reboot into SAFE MODE

1/Click Start and then click Turn Off Computer.
2/In the Turn Off Windows dialog box, click Restart, and then click OK.
3/As your computer restarts but before Windows launches, press F8 repeatedly.
4/Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode, and then press ENTER.
5/If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot system, choose the installation that you need to access using the arrow keys, and then press ENTER.
Note: If Windows launches before you can choose a safe mode, restart your computer and try again
PS/ Sometimes it maybe the F5 key
