My son-in-law's elderly Dell Inspiron 1525 runs Windows Vista. Recently, whenever Windows starts and the desktop has finished coming up, he always gets an error report as follows:-
The application descriptor could not be found for this application. Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance."
After I've clicked OK to this report, the computer appears to run normally.
I have downloaded and re-installed Adobe Air - the problem still occurs. I have googled the error report, but I don't understand the answers that I'm getting.
Can anyone please explain how to get rid of this error?
When you say you reinstalled, do you mean you installed the programme over itself. Or did you uninstall it first and then do a clean install? That's the way I would go.
Thanks for responding Graphicool1.
I reinstalled Air over the top of itself. I will, as you recommend, install it again, but uninstall it first. This will now have to be tomorrow.
Thanks for your advice. I'll report back!
