hi when i open up internet explorer in the address bar and google tab theres a cnet icon then click here ive never seen this before how can i get rid of this thanks kirriejim

I'm guessing that you mean the search box to the right of the address bar. Click on the down arrow on the right and salect manage search providers. You can then delete CNet or choose a different one eg Google. To set as default right click on the one you want and choose the default option.
