Hello All.

What's the formula to add hours and minutes in Excel

e.g.

5.21 + 4.50 = 9.71 BUT in hours (with 60 mins in an hour) this should read 10hrs 11mins, any ideas pls.

Regards......... Neil.

You can't use decimal point when adding/subtracting time, you must seperate hours and mins with a colon : You should be fine then.
Your cells shoud contain 5:21 and 4:50 then when you add it should work.

PS, if you want to show the result as '10hrs:11mins' then change your result cell format to hh"hrs":mm"mins"

Thanks that works
