Adding another User

My brother needs access to my computer for a while, if I set up another user account will he have access to my documents, files, folders, e-mails etc. If so, how do I prevent this? Many thanks

Assuming you have XP, you can set his account up as a 'limited' account. But as for the limiting of access to the areas you mention, others will have to tell you how. there is only me (and a chinchilla) here, and he can't type very well, so i don'tave to worry. Put a password on your account though, and that will stop him, using your logon.

Set his account at limited then he cannot access your files stored in 'my documents'and your system files i.e. desktop , favourites etc will be classed as hidden in his account setup.

However he can still acess My computer/explorer and if he knows how to change / view hidden files he will still be able to view them.
