Added RAM - Lost Everything

I decided to increase the RAM on my older Tiny PC. I had added RAM to another pc and it was so easy I had no concerns about doing it again. However, the RAM was much more difficult to get in properly this time. Eventually I managed to get both new RAM sticks in but when I turned on the pc it beeped twice and the monitor went to standby. I tried turning everything off and trying again with the same result. After several re-tries I took out the new RAM and put back the old. To my horror when I switched back on again the same thing happened. The pc is now unusuable.
I am not very computer savvy at all - can someone out there please make any suggestions or let me know if it sounds like I have totally wrecked the pc and need to start looking at replacing it??

It could be that you have dislodged something else whilst changing the RAM. Make sure everything is correctly seated in it's sockets. Not that RAM only fits one way round.
