i am running windows xp pro and i have somehow disabled my activex controls how do i enable them again

  MAT ALAN 19:17 27 Feb 2008

To enable ActiveX controls:

1. Click on Tools menu
2. Click Internet Options
3. Click on the "Security" tab
4. Click on the "Custom Level..." button
5. Optimally you want to set the first five options under "ActiveX controls as follows (the three marked for "Enable or Prompt" must be set to one of those):
* Download signed ActiveX: Enable or Prompt
* Download unsigned ActiveX: Disable
* Initialize and Script AxtiveX controls not marked as safe: Disable
* Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins: Enable or Prompt
* Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting: Enable or Prompt
6. Scroll down until you see the section labeled "Scripting" - set all 3 options under that section (Active Scripting, Allow paste operations via script, and Scripting of Java applets) to either "Enable" or "Prompt"
7. Click the "OK" button twice to save settings and close the Internet Options dialog box
