Adaware 6 - first time user - advice please

  Carafaraday 11:19 10 Aug 2004

I have a one month old pc and have just run Adaware 6. It found 15 entries but I have no idea whether they should be there or not. How do I know what I want to allow to remain, and what I ought to zap?
Should I set a system restore point before deleting anything - and if so how do I go about it?
I am running Windows XP home (no cd).

just go ahead and zap them

don't worry if something goes wrong as Adaware
uses a quaranteen area - so you can always add
the files back

delete them all, anything undesirable that happens after that, can be restored from the quarintine section,, try the new adaware se edition, they seems to be a rave about it at the moment, me included.

click here New version. Download/install and remove all it finds.

Ad-aware6 was a lot faster than the previous version, but SE scans at an even more remarkable speed.

If you've downloaded any or all of the plug-ins in the past, you can retain them when installing SE.
