Ad-Aware SE Personal creates huge files

  esad 16:27 06 Sep 2005

I have just started using Ad-Aware SE Personal and have noticed two files in the folder:
C:\ProgramFiles\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal.

The names and sizes reported in Windows Explorer are:
~GLH006.TMP 27.3GB and ~GLH007.TMP 23.1GB

They occupy about half the HDD!

1. Is this normal?
2. Does the .TMP extension mean it's safe to delete them?
3. Will Ad-Aware run OK in future, when I no longer have 51GB of spare room?

Just looked in mine and I don't have either of those files but if they are .tmp files then you can delete them with no problem.

Not in mine either - I agree with pj123.

No Temp/tmp anything.
Might be worth another look in a few days when you have used it again, to be sure nothing like that is there again?

Thank you for the rapid responses.

I've deleted the offending files - Ad-Aware seems to still work. I'll check again in a few days.
